This flagship of Saint-Emilion has been owned by the de Boüard family since 1782. Classified as a Grand Cru since 1954, the château benefits from an exceptional terroir. It was Hubert de Boüard who truly propelled the estate into the upper echelons through significant improvements in winemaking techniques. 2012 marked a crowning achievement as Angélus was honored as a Premier Grand Cru Classé "A" alongside Châteaux Cheval Blanc, Ausone, and Pavie. Today, Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal (Hubert's daughter) and her cousin Thierry Grenié de Boüard lead the Grand Cru
After an early start to the year, the weather conditions in August and early September lead to a slow ripening of the grapes, allowing the freshness to shine through and ensuring a long aging potential. The perfect health of the grapes and their maturity allow for precise winemaking. The wines are dense with beautiful fruit aromas and delicate toasted notes. They are powerful, harmonious, and exhibit a very elegant freshness.

Questi sono conservati in cantina, in via Fondaudège, in totale. Le bottiglie più fragili e più rare beneficiano di un riposo in cantina di invecchiamento Liebherr o La Sommelière.
