Nothing predestined Marie and Amaury Vaganay to become winemakers in Saumur in 2021. After seven years in construction and IT project management in the North, they settled in Vaudelnay with their four children to make a living from their land.
Noctua takes its name from the Latin for the Little Owl, Athene Noctua, as a pair nests in the beams of the bottle cellar (they have a keen eye - and good taste).
The small estate, initially 4.5 hectares and now 7.5 hectares, is undergoing conversion to organic farming. Marie and Amaury are committed to caring for their plots, sometimes entirely by hand. The soils are alive, as evidenced by the abundance of earthworms tirelessly aerating the ground and the birds nesting there.
The reds grow on clay-sandy silt, a deep soil that allows the vines to anchor themselves, absorb essential trace elements, and draw water. The whites thrive on a hillside of schist and sandstone, a well-ventilated, sunlit slope where volcanic rock—rhyolite from the granite group—can also be found.

This is Noctua's solidarity cuvée since every bottle sold helps raise funds for the Octobre Rose collective.
A 12-month aging on racks for the first bottles, the others are still in the cellar; in the future, Lucibilis should be aged for 18 months or more.
No residual sugar, and always very low sulfites. Citrus notes, a delight as an aperitif or dessert with fresh fruits!

Tutti i vini e altri prodotti provengono direttamente dalle cantine o dai loro rivenditori esclusivi. In alcuni casi, bottiglie rare e introvabili in cantina sono state acquistate da collezionisti privati o professionisti. La nostra esperienza attesta la qualità e l'autenticità delle bottiglie.
Questi sono conservati in cantina, in via Fondaudège, in totale. Le bottiglie più fragili e più rare beneficiano di un riposo in cantina di invecchiamento Liebherr o La Sommelière.
