The Estate
Florence Prud'homme left the center of Bordeaux in 2003, leaving behind a quiet life as an administrative assistant because she wanted to work with her hands. After careful consideration, she purchased Château Saincrit and its 4.5 hectares, not far from Bourg, in Gironde. She quickly began an organic conversion and is trying to go further, particularly through the reuse of her bottles. Today, the château spans nearly 23 hectares and is still under reconstruction, with replanting of vines, trees, and hedges.
A former equestrian, she chose a unicorn and a horse-themed design for her labels. But what truly won us over was Vanille, her puppy, who was just four months old when we first visited the estate!
The Wine
Butinage was born in 2016 from the harvest of the first white grapevine planting of the estate.
Tasting
Very pale golden hue, nose reminiscent of nougat, fresh and balanced palate with aromas of honey, candied lemon, and quince paste.
