Le Château Clos Fourtet, autrefois un camp militaire protégeant le village de Saint-Émilion, demeure aujourd'hui un monument historique entouré de murs. Ce Premier Grand Cru Classé est notamment réputé pour ses remarquables caves situées dans des carrières souterraines. Bien que ses vins aient longtemps été produits en deçà de la qualité potentielle du terroir, la situation a changé en 1988 grâce aux efforts de la famille Lurton. En 2001, Philippe Cuvelier, ancien dirigeant du groupe papetier Guilbert, a acquis le domaine. Une conversion à la biodynamie est en cours, sous les conseils de Stéphane Derenoncourt, oenologue-conseil très réputé.
Comprising 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc, Clos Fourtet is a wine as charming and elegant as it is powerful and age-worthy. The ripe Merlot provides aromas of dark fruits, while the subtle aging process brings out notes of licorice and pepper. On the palate, one can discern a unique terroir and expertly controlled vinification from start to finish.

Provenance and storage of our wines
All wines and other products come directly from the estates or their exclusive distributors. In some cases, rare and hard-to-find bottles have been purchased from private collectors or professionals. Our expertise guarantees the quality and authenticity of the bottles.
These are stored in the cellar, on Fondaudège Street, in their entirety. The most fragile and rare bottles benefit from aging in a Liebherr or La Sommelière wine cellar.
