The Producer
Founded in 1974 by Piero Palladino, the Palladino Winery is a family-owned estate located in Serralunga d’Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, in Piedmont. Piero entrusted the management of the estate to his cousin Maurilio, who developed it with his wife Domenica. Today, the new family generation participates in the continuity of this house, committed to the tradition and identity of its terroir.
The estate is located in one of the historic areas of Barolo, where the predominantly clay-limestone soils, favorable exposures, and the microclimate of the hills allow Nebbiolo to express all its complexity. Its plots include the prestigious crus Ornato, Parafada, and San Bernardo, which give rise to Barolos with distinct profiles, balancing power, tannic structure, minerality, and elegance.
Palladino perpetuates a traditional approach to winemaking, favoring manual harvesting, long fermentations in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation, and storage in concrete tanks, followed by aging in large French and Slavonian oak barrels. The range highlights the great Piedmontese appellations, notably Barolo DOCG, alongside Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, and Dolcetto d'Alba, with a constant desire to faithfully translate the personality of each terroir.
