The Producer
The Château La Maroquine is part of a new winemaking adventure led by Agnès Bion and her team, with the ambition to preserve the Bordeaux heritage while making it accessible to a new generation of consumers. The estate is committed to a process that combines tradition, innovation, and respect for life.
Located on the hillsides of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, the vineyard extends over 17 hectares of clay-limestone-sandy soils. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec make up the reds, while Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon are dedicated to the dry whites.
Today, Château La Maroquine offers AOC Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur from organic farming, with precise and low-intervention winemaking. Harvest sorting, the use of carbonic snow, and temperature-controlled fermentations help preserve the purity of the fruit, resulting in wines with low sulfite content.
