Crémant de Bordeaux

The Crémant de Bordeaux AOC, established in 1990, designates sparkling wines made using the traditional method, meaning a second fermentation in the bottle. This appellation covers about 300 hectares planted mainly with white grapes such as sémillon, sauvignon blanc, and muscadelle, as well as red grapes for rosé wines. Crémant de Bordeaux offers a local alternative to Champagne, featuring fine bubbles and fresh, fruity aromas. It is perfect for aperitifs, seafood, and light desserts. The recent development of this appellation highlights the diversity and innovation in the Bordeaux region.
