Pommard

The Pommard AOC, established in 1937, covers about 330 hectares in the Côte de Beaune. It is renowned for powerful, tannic red wines made from pinot noir, with aromas of dark fruit, cocoa, and spices. The clay-limestone terroir provides structure and aging potential. Fun fact: Pommard is often considered one of Burgundy’s most robust red wines. These wines pair perfectly with grilled red meats, game, and sauced dishes. Notable producers: Domaine Comte Armand, Domaine de Courcel, Domaine Faiveley.
