Margaux

The Margaux AOC, established in 1954, covers about 1,500 hectares in the Médoc region on the left bank of the Gironde River. It is renowned for its elegant, refined red wines, mainly made from cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, and petit verdot. The gravelly soils contribute finesse and complexity. Margaux produces some of the most prestigious classified growths, including Château Margaux, a symbol of luxury and excellence. The wines pair perfectly with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
