Château Margaux
Château Margaux is one of the five estates classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 Bordeaux classification, and one of the most prestigious properties in the Médoc, at the heart of the Margaux appellation. Its vineyard covers around 82 hectares planted on fine, deep gravel soils over a limestone subsoil, providing exceptional natural drainage. The varietal composition, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, is complemented by Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, producing wines that are powerful, elegant, and long-lived. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand, followed by meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification and ageing in predominantly new French oak barrels. With centuries of history and globally recognized expertise, Château Margaux stands as a benchmark among the Grands Crus Classés of the Médoc.
