The Estate
Founded in 1661 by Pierre de Rauzan, Château Rauzan-Ségla quickly gained a reputation for excellence in the Médoc. Classified as a Second Growth in the 1855 ranking, the estate has shown remarkable consistency through the centuries. In 1994, it was acquired by Chanel, which launched a major modernization effort while preserving the estate’s noble heritage.
Located in Margaux, one of the Left Bank's most prestigious appellations, the 70-hectare vineyard lies on deep gravel soils typical of the area. These are perfectly suited for noble grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The unique terroir contributes to the wine’s elegance, aromatic finesse, and outstanding ageing potential.
With Chanel at the helm, Rauzan-Ségla perfectly balances tradition and innovation. The wines are known for their complexity, freshness, and silky texture. The technical team is committed to precise, sustainable viticulture aimed at expressing the full identity of this great Margaux classified growth.

Tasting
The 2012 vintage is a brilliant wine, as evidenced by the brilliance of its color. The nose is refined, the palate like velvet. Red fruits blend elegantly with black fruits. One bites into a cherry, beautiful fresh blackberries
A luscious fruit that accompanies us through multiple sensations. The amplitude of the attack, the smoothness of the palate, and the silkiness of the tannins provide a true sensation of creaminess. This refinement, present even in the finish, will delight the great connoisseurs of Margaux.
