The Estate
The Château L’Indécise is the result of a passionate family project born in the heart of the Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. This recent yet ambitious estate takes its original name from the initial hesitation of its founders to embark on the winemaking adventure, a nod to the determination ultimately found to create a sincere, personal, and unadulterated wine. From the very first vinifications, the estate has distinguished itself through an artisanal approach and a desire to do things their own way, going against standardized codes.
The vineyard extends over the rolling hills of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, an area at the confluence of Entre-deux-Mers and Bergeracois, benefiting from a cool microclimate and clay-limestone soils conducive to fine viticulture. These soils give rise to balanced, structured wines that are always elegant. The optimal exposure and moderate altitude allow for a slow and steady ripening of the grapes, predominantly Merlot, with a hint of Cabernet Franc for tension.
Today, Château L’Indécise is part of a natural wine movement or minimal intervention approach, with low-intervention winemaking and a very limited use of sulfur. Each vintage reflects an honest interpretation of the year, without technical makeup. The wine appeals to enthusiasts of sincere, digestible, and vibrant profiles, with a true personality. The label, simple and poetic, in line with its name, perfectly embodies this free and unapologetic spirit.
