The Producer
Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, the Ramos Pinto house quickly established itself as one of the major figures in Port wine. A visionary and bold entrepreneur, its founder developed an innovative commercial strategy early on, particularly for exports to South America, which greatly contributed to the brand's reputation. Today, integrated into the Louis Roederer group, Ramos Pinto perpetuates a legacy that combines tradition and modernity.
The estate spans several iconic quintas in the Douro Valley, including Quinta do Bom Retiro, Quinta da Ervamoira, and Quinta dos Bons Ares. This spectacular vineyard, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, is characterized by its steep terraces and schist soils, perfectly suited for the cultivation of indigenous Portuguese grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz. Ramos Pinto places great importance on the study of soils and microclimates, particularly through pioneering work in parcel mapping.
Today, Ramos Pinto stands out for its demanding qualitative approach, combining respect for the traditions of Port and technical innovation. The house produces a wide range of wines, from Ruby and Tawny Ports to exceptional vintage cuvées, while also developing still wines from the Douro. Recognized for the precision and elegance of its wines, it continues to captivate enthusiasts and collectors around the world.

Tasting
Here is the extracted text, ready to be copied:
Clear and bright color, pale yellow with golden reflections. The aroma is very expressive, dominated by tropical notes of pineapple and passion fruit. After a resting period, more delicate aromas emerge, such as sweet flowers, apricot syrup, lemon zest, and a slight smoky touch. On the palate, it is light but with a certain creaminess, and the aromatic liveliness lingers in a long and fresh finish.
This expressiveness and aromatic complexity are distinctive characteristics of Duas Quintas 2023, which maintains its own harmony.
