Château Laffitte-Teston is an emblematic family estate in the Southwest, located in the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellation area. The history of the estate dates back to the 19th century when the Laffitte family began cultivating vines on these renowned hills. Over the generations, the property has expanded and been structured, with a constant desire to enhance local grape varieties and defend the identity of the wines from the Pyrenean foothills. The vineyard extends over clay-limestone and clay-siliceous hills particularly suited to Tannat, the flagship grape of Madiran, which develops power, structure, and aging potential. The plots dedicated to white wines rest on soils favorable to the aromatic expression of indigenous grape varieties such as Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng. The oceanic climate with Pyrenean influence, characterized by hot summers and autumns conducive to slow maturation, allows for the production of concentrated and balanced grapes.
