The history of Paul Monier Cognac is part of that of a family of winemakers and distillers deeply attached to the terroir of Charente. Based in Chassors, in the heart of the Cognac vineyard, the Monier family has been perpetuating for several generations a know-how based on vine cultivation, distillation, and aging of brandies. This family-owned house defends an authentic approach to Cognac, where patience and transmission occupy a central place. Through its various cuvées, Paul Monier thus reveals a sincere expression of Charente know-how and the identity of the Cognac terroirs.
A Cognac shaped by the terroir and the know-how
The production of Paul Monier Cognac is based on precise work in the vineyard and distillation, with particular attention paid to the origin of the eaux-de-vie and their aging. The estate notably relies on the characteristics of Fins Bois, a cru known for producing soft, fruity, and generous Cognacs, while working on blends that allow for greater depth and complexity with aging. The eaux-de-vie gradually take on their personality through contact with oak, developing over the years fruity, spicy, woody, and pastry notes. This search for balance between the character of the terroir and the mastery of aging is one of the signatures of the house.

Today, Paul Monier Cognac represents a family and artisanal vision of Cognac, which values both the Charente heritage and a contemporary approach to tasting. The house offers Cognacs that can adapt to different moments, from the convivial pleasure of a young Cognac to older cuvées intended for attentive tasting.
