A family story at the heart of the Rhône Valley

The story of Domaine Pierre Gonon begins in the early 20th century in Mauves, Ardèche, where the Gonon family cultivates a few plots of vines alongside a mixed farming activity. In the 1950s, Pierre Gonon revitalizes the family vineyard by replanting the historic hills of the Saint-Joseph appellation. Starting in 1988, his sons Jean and Pierre join the estate and continue this work with the desire to produce wines true to their terroir, while preserving the winemaking traditions of the northern Rhône Valley.

Granite terroirs enhanced by artisanal know-how

Domaine Pierre Gonon cultivates vines planted on the steep hills of Saint-Joseph, where the granite soils give the wines finesse, freshness, and depth. The Gonon brothers work the vines according to the principles of organic farming, certified since 2010, with manual harvesting, controlled yields, and meticulous soil work. In the cellar, fermentations are carried out with indigenous yeasts and aging is conducted discreetly to preserve the full expression of the fruit and terroir.
