The Estate
Olivier Cazenave, an atypical figure in the Bordeaux vineyard, initially evolved outside the world of wine before passionately entering it in the 1990s. After gaining experience in commerce and distribution, he decided to venture into production and acquired Château de Bel in 2003, a small property located on the right bank of the Dordogne. His journey, blending curiosity, high standards, and a free-spirited approach, has led him to challenge the traditional codes of Bordeaux with a relaxed and artisanal approach.
Olivier Cazenave vinifies wines with strong personality, often in micro-editions, and does not hesitate to experiment with long aging, sometimes under flor, in solera, and with atypical grape varieties... His style is characterized by great drinkability, freshness, and a sincerity that appeals to both enthusiasts and professionals.
