In Celles-sur-Ource, since the 16th century, the Carreau family has been growing grapes, vinifying a small portion for their personal consumption. In 1990, Lionel Carreau decided to market a champagne brand under his own name. His daughter, Oriane, joined him in 2012.
Oriane's journey has been anything but conventional. A brilliant commercial career took her to North America for several years, yet home ultimately called her back.
While continuing to work for Champagnes Carreau, Oriane is also developing her own brand, Dame de Carreau, using vineyards that are either in organic conversion or already certified. Her goal is clear: exceptional grapes or nothing, with a winemaking approach that involves minimal intervention.

Terroir d’exception historique à Celle sur ource. En vieux patois « les Bondonnots » signifie les « bonnes bondes », se référant, en langage vigneron et de façon poétique, à l’odeur qui imprégnait les bondes des tonneaux issus de cette parcelle. Ce patois d’après nos anciens date d’avant 1900. Cette parcelle est située à plus de 200 mètres d’altitude par rapport au village. À une époque où le travail se faisait à cheval, à pied ou à vélo ; on reconnait volontiers l’exceptionnelle qualité qui motivait le vigneron à aller travailler une parcelle aussi haute alors que des terrains en bord de village ne manquaient pas.
Ce Pinot Noir montre beaucoup de fruit, en particulier des agrumes parfois un peu confit. Le vin offre quelque chose de frais, de droit et vigoureux, qui se conclut sur des beaux amers.

Provenance and storage of our wines
All wines and other products come directly from the estates or their exclusive distributors. In some cases, rare and hard-to-find bottles have been purchased from private collectors or professionals. Our expertise guarantees the quality and authenticity of the bottles.
These are stored in the cellar, on Fondaudège Street, in their entirety. The most fragile and rare bottles benefit from aging in a Liebherr or La Sommelière wine cellar.
