Côtes-de-Provence

The Côtes de Provence AOC, established in 1977, covers around 20,000 hectares of vineyards between the Mediterranean coast and the Var hinterland, making it the largest appellation in Provence. It mainly produces rosé wines (about 90% of production), along with reds and whites, from grapes such as grenache, cinsault, syrah, mourvèdre, tibouren, and rolle (vermentino). The diverse soils — schist, limestone, and sandstone — combined with a sunny, breezy Mediterranean climate produce fresh, aromatic, and balanced wines. The rosés are known for their pale color and notes of citrus, red berries, and flowers, with lively acidity. They pair perfectly with summer cuisine, salads, grilled dishes, fish, and Mediterranean food.
