The Producer
The Casablanca Valley, located just 70 kilometers west of Santiago and less than 25 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, is one of the main wine-producing regions of Chile with a cool climate. The cold Humboldt current runs along the coast, creating a refreshing effect with morning fog and low temperatures that translate into Villard's wines with bright acidity and fresh fruity aromas.
Founded in 1989 by Thierry Villard, this estate is the first family producer of premium wines in Chile. Over the past three decades, it has been consistently recognized as one of the best producers in the Casablanca Valley. In the last decade, using the exceptional terroir of the valley and its unique characteristics, the new generation has introduced innovative winemaking techniques to create new structured and elegant premium wines.
