The Producer
Château Haut-Marbuzet is located in Saint-Estèphe, on the left bank of the Médoc, and owes much of its modern reputation to the Duboscq family. Although the estate has existed since the 18th century, it was from 1952, under the leadership of Hervé Duboscq, that it experienced a spectacular rise. Outside the 1855 classification, Haut-Marbuzet has established itself over the decades as one of the most emblematic and sought-after estates in Saint-Estèphe, thanks to a distinctive style and consistent quality.
The vineyard rests on deep gravel mounds mixed with clay-limestone soils, particularly favorable for the expression of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The proximity to the Gironde plays an essential regulatory role, protecting the vines from climatic extremes and promoting uniform ripening of the grapes. This combination of soils and microclimate gives Haut-Marbuzet wines a solid structure, marked aromatic richness, and typical depth of Saint-Estèphe.
Today, Château Haut-Marbuzet is recognized for its generous, opulent, and immediately appealing style, never compromising on balance and freshness. Careful vinification and ambitious aging in new barrels give rise to powerful, fleshy, and velvety wines with remarkable aging potential. Haut-Marbuzet embodies a modern and bold vision of the Médoc, becoming a true reference for lovers of expressive fine wines.
The Wine

Parcel vinification in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by careful aging in predominantly new oak barrels, to refine the structure, enrich the aromatic palette, and ensure excellent aging potential.
