The Producer
Étable des Vins is a family-owned estate located in Péronne, in the Mâconnais region, with origins dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. The history of the estate is closely linked to that of Aimé Blouzard, who planted his first vines in the 1930s and laid the foundations of a wine heritage passed down from generation to generation. For many years dedicated to vine growing and grape selling, the family decided to take a new step by creating its own winemaking and commercial structure under the name Étable des Vins, in order to fully showcase the fruit of its work.
The vineyard stretches across the clay-limestone slopes of Péronne, at the heart of the Mâcon-Péronne appellation. This terroir, particularly well suited to Chardonnay, allows the production of wines that are fresh, elegant and mineral. The vines, some of which are several decades old, are cultivated with great attention to soil preservation and biodiversity. Winemaking is deliberately carried out with minimal intervention in order to preserve the identity of each plot and reveal the full character of the Mâconnais terroir.
Today, Étable des Vins continues Aimé Blouzard’s legacy by producing limited-production cuvées that combine family tradition with a modern approach to viticulture. The wines stand out for their precision, freshness and authentic expression of Burgundian Chardonnay, offering generous, balanced profiles with remarkable purity. Thanks to this know-how passed down through generations, the estate has become one of the rising stars of southern Burgundy.
The Wine
Tasting
The wine reveals a delicate nose of white flowers, crisp apple, pear and citrus fruits, enhanced by a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, it is fresh, generous and perfectly balanced, with a beautiful tension that highlights the purity of the Chardonnay. The long, saline finish extends notes of white fruits and flinty minerality with great elegance.
