The Producer
With a winemaking history dating back to the 10th century, La Croix Martelle takes its name from a tradition deeply rooted in the terroir of Siran.
At the heart of Minervois La Livinière, the first growth of Languedoc since 1999, the Château has cultivated an intimate connection between the land, the vine, and time for centuries. Here, the landscapes of garrigue, the limestone soils, and the Mediterranean climate shape wines of character, sincere and deeply rooted in their terroir.
Committed to organic farming since 1998, the estate produces limited cuvées where each vintage tells a story: that of a preserved place, of demanding craftsmanship, and of a constant search for balance and elegance.
Today taken over by Marion Cornille, a passionate winemaker, the estate is driven by a contemporary vision of wine: respectful of life, demanding in practices, and true to the identity of the terroir. Every decision, from the vineyard to the cellar, is guided by a simple goal: to produce wines that are fair, expressive, and sustainable.

Tasting
Dressed in an intense garnet red robe, SIRUS expresses an astonishing finesse thanks to aromas of spices, herbs, and incense. This elegance continues with a round, velvety, creamy mouthfeel on very soft tannins. SIRUS pairs remarkably well with a piece of beef, couscous, grilled lamb, and even risotto due to its creaminess.
