Château Cheval Blanc
The Cheval Blanc vineyard, formerly part of the Figeac estate, was sold to the owners of Château l'Evangile before becoming a distinct entity in the 19th century. Under the direction of Pierre Lurton, the estate has maintained its reputation for many years, including after being acquired by LVMH in 2009. The new winery, operational since 2011 and designed by Christian de Portzamparc, reflects the estate's ecological commitment. Never dethroned from its rank as Premier Grand Cru Classé "A" since 1954, Cheval Blanc nevertheless decided to withdraw from the classification in 2022.
