Château Haut-Brion
Château Haut-Brion is one of the five estates classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 Bordeaux classification, and the only one located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Its vineyard, rooted in deep gravel soils over a clay-sandy subsoil, benefits from optimal natural drainage that promotes even ripening of the grapes. The varietal composition, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, creating a unique balance between power and elegance. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand, followed by parcel-by-parcel vinification and traditional ageing in new French oak barrels. With more than five centuries of history, Château Haut-Brion stands as an unmissable reference among Bordeaux Grands Crus Classés.
