Château Lafite Rothschild
Château Lafite Rothschild is one of the five estates classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 Bordeaux classification, and stands among the most iconic properties of the Médoc, within the Pauillac appellation. Covering around 112 hectares, its vineyard lies on fine gravel soils mixed with sands over a limestone subsoil, providing exceptional drainage and optimal conditions for growing noble grape varieties. The varietal composition is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, ensuring structure, longevity, and finesse. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, followed by meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification and ageing in new French oak barrels for 18 to 20 months. With centuries of expertise and an international reputation, Château Lafite Rothschild is an unmissable reference among the Grands Crus Classés of the Médoc.
