Château Mouton Rothschild

Château Mouton Rothschild is one of the five estates classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 Bordeaux classification, located in the Pauillac appellation at the heart of the Médoc. Its vineyard, covering around 90 hectares, lies on deep gravel and sandy soils over a limestone base, offering ideal natural drainage for optimal grape ripening. The varietal composition is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, producing wines that are powerful, complex, and exceptionally long-lived. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand, followed by meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification and ageing for 18 to 22 months in new French oak barrels. Also renowned for its unique labels, illustrated each year by celebrated artists, Château Mouton Rothschild stands as a global icon among the Grands Crus Classés of the Médoc.
