Château Le Puy

Château Le Puy is a historic family-owned estate located on the Saint-Cibard plateau, in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region, on the Right Bank, near Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. Owned by the Amoreau family since 1610, the vineyard covers around 50 hectares farmed biodynamically, with no use of synthetic chemicals. Planted on clay-limestone and clay-silica soils resting on a limestone bedrock, the vines are predominantly Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and rare ancient grape varieties. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by natural vinification without added yeasts or sulfur, and long ageing in oak barrels. Through its artisanal, terroir-driven approach, Château Le Puy has become an iconic reference among natural wines from Bordeaux.
