The Producer
An emblematic winemaker of the northern Rhône valley, Pierre Gaillard is one of those artisans who have profoundly marked the identity of the great wines of the region. After training with renowned estates, he created his own estate on the steep slopes of the northern Rhône, driven by a demanding and precise vision of the winemaking profession. Over the years, his rigorous work and sensitivity have allowed the estate to establish itself as a reference, while remaining true to an artisanal and independent approach.
The estate relies on a mosaic of some of the most prestigious terroirs of the northern Rhône: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, and Crozes-Hermitage. The vines, often planted on steep slopes, rest on granite or schist soils that give the wines tension, depth, and complexity. The work in the vineyard is meticulous, with particular attention paid to the natural balance of the vines and the truest expression of each plot.
Today, Domaine Pierre Gaillard is recognized for precise, elegant wines that are deeply rooted in their terroir. The vinifications, carried out with restraint and precision, seek above all to reveal the purity of the fruit and the finesse of the appellations. Whether it is structured and racy reds or whites with great aromatic intensity, the estate's cuvées charm with their consistency, aging potential, and readability, making Pierre Gaillard an essential signature of the northern Rhône.
