IGP Les Alpilles
The IGP Alpilles covers a small wine-growing area within the Alpilles Regional Natural Park in the Bouches-du-Rhône. Officially recognized in 2009, it offers great freedom in blending reds, rosés, and whites using both local (grenache, mourvèdre, syrah, rolle…) and international varieties (cabernet, merlot, chardonnay…). Limestone soils and the mistral wind shape expressive, elegant, and highly individual wines. Pairings: Provençal cuisine, grilled fish, roast poultry, Mediterranean dishes. Notable producers: Domaine de Trévallon, Château Romanin.
