The Producer
In 2022, Thierry and Virginie fell in love with a property that had been dormant for over 10 years in Casseuil in the South Gironde. Ancient cedars and oaks, a folly built in the mid-19th century in a very Napoleonic style, and vines planted facing the Garonne on a limestone pebble. They left the Marne valley to write a new chapter of their story, in this natural setting perched on the edge of the cliff.
A folly impossible without family… Thierry: the winemaker, the lover of the land, theDreamerof the valley; Virginie: the calm and reflection, the science in service of the plants. And today Titouan: the 4th generation, who also roams the vineyard and the cellar. Two plus three makes five… when adding the rest of the siblings. All united around the love of good living, wide open spaces, music, and laughter galore.
The Wine
A vineyard of 8 hectares located at 85 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soil with a beautiful southwest orientation.
gentle vinification and aging in concrete tanks.
Tasting
Intense garnet color with cherry red reflections. The nose reveals notes of black fruits, ripe cherry, and plum with hints of menthol, licorice, and cocoa. On the palate, the rich and creamy attack is supported by a solid base of well-present tannins. The aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant) are highlighted by spicy, peppery, and floral notes.
