Puligny-Montrachet

The Puligny-Montrachet AOC, established in 1937 in the Côte de Beaune, covers approximately 242 hectares of vineyards, planted exclusively with chardonnay for white wines. Renowned for their elegance, finesse, and aromatic purity, Puligny-Montrachet wines display notes of citrus, white flowers, and stone fruits, with pronounced minerality and excellent aging potential. The clay-limestone and limestone soils provide structure and complexity. These wines pair perfectly with fine fish, seafood, poultry, and aged cheeses. Notable producers include Domaine Leflaive, Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Etienne Sauzet, Domaine Michel Niellon, and Domaine Jacques Carillon, all recognized for reflecting the unique terroir of the appellation.
