Chambolle-Musigny

The Chambolle-Musigny AOC, established in 1936, covers about 160 hectares in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. It is renowned for elegant and refined red wines made exclusively from pinot noir, known for floral aromas and silky tannins. The clay-limestone soils provide finesse and complexity. The appellation includes several Premier Crus and two famous Grand Crus: Musigny and Bonnes Mares. Fun fact: Chambolle-Musigny is often called the “lady of the Burgundy vineyard” due to the delicate and graceful character of its wines. These wines pair well with game in sauce, mushroom poultry dishes, or blue cheeses. Notable producers: Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine G. Roumier, Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier.
