Château Soucherie

Château Soucherie is a historic property in Anjou, with origins dating back to the Middle Ages. Long anchored in the wine landscape of the Layon hills, the estate has traversed the centuries while maintaining a strong identity linked to the great white wines of the Loire. It experienced a new momentum at the end of the 20th century when the Béguinot family took over the estate with the ambition of restoring its nobility and viticultural precision.

Located on the schist hills of Anjou Noir, the vineyard of Château Soucherie benefits from a remarkable terroir, primarily composed of schist and facing south. These poor and draining soils, combined with the influence of the Loire and Layon rivers, provide ideal conditions for the expression of Chenin Blanc. The vines, cultivated with care, yield grapes with balanced ripeness, capable of producing both great dry wines and sweet wines of great finesse.

Today, Château Soucherie is recognized as one of the essential references of Anjou. The estate is managed organically, with precise work in the vineyard and low-intervention winemaking, favoring the pure expression of the terroir. The wines stand out for their tension, depth, and aging potential, embodying a modern and demanding vision of the great Chenins of the Loire.
